"The Spook Who Sat By The Door" screening and Q & A with writer Sam Greenlee


To our peoples who dream of social change and revolution, you can't miss the upcoming screening of The Spook Who Sat By the Door... The classic 1973 film follows the story of a young Black man who joins the CIA in order to receive military training which he later uses to organize a revolutionary uprising in Chicago... We will have the honor of hosting the writer of the book which the movie is based on, Sam Greenlee, along with former political prisoners from the Black Liberation Army... They will participate in a panel discussion with the community after the screening...

Boogie Down this Friday June 19!


Following up on our successful film festival last month, we are bringing the community Boogie Down Friday this Friday June 19 at RDAC. The party is a fundraiser for our film workshops here at RDAC, and will feature DJ Ronzilla and the Soul Slingaz spinnin the illest Hip Hop, Latin, House, and Old School... Only $5 donation! No dress code, no drama, all peace, love and havin fun... Lets get it!
